Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Did a job for them, so credit for that, if he stays then i bet they turn on him by Christmas as odds on they are in the mix for the chop again next season, bit like Villa, only a matter of time before they go down.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
I quite enjoy it. It's as if they think people only started watching football this year.

A miraculous achievement, the only man for the job....well yes, apart from the fact that Martin o'neill, gus poyet, paolo di canio and dick advocaat have all done exactly the same thing in consecutive seasons from worse positions, with less games and all Bar one without the luxury of a transfer window to improve the squad....other than that, it's truly a footballing miracle

Still, in the perspective of which it's due, well done fat man

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
They've been saved from worse positions in recent years (di canio, poyet, one other???) with less games remaining so it's not quite the mission impossible I'm sure BFS and his media chums will paint it as. iirc they were in 17th in november.

BUT - credit it where it's due, I thought they were gone. Watched a bit of their game last night and they were decent. I don't think they'll be down there again next season.

But above all thank fuck he's not here anymore.

Hairy

Nope, doesn't hurt one bit mate, this thread was just a bit of fun in WHO tradition. Glad you contributed.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Fair play, fucking 17th! Moving 1 place in 30 games what a fantastic manager. Btw we've got 62 points! That's 13 more than 49 not just 1. The fat useless mediocrity saved b6 a player he probably can't stand can fuck off.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Fair play to the big man, his 3 signings in the transfer window, change the side and Defoe doing a fucking amazing job up front alone. He did what was asked of him and that was as far as he was gonna take us. As for Newcastle spending £80 million and going down. Some people have questioned how that can happen. Well hiring Steve McLaren as your manager was a guaranteed shitfest in the making. Just shows you throwing money at things is no cure for a badly run footy club.

Not sure how much Leicester spent but it was nowhere near what the Geordies spent, and what an amazing difference. Norwich yet again come up and try and do it without a goalscorer, silly sods should have known that for Experience.
Anyways good luck to bfs the miserable sod.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
We did the right thing to part with allardyce last season , but he's just the right man to have if you are in sunderlands position, and he was the right man at the right time for us. Times move on, but we should acknowledge, he got us up, kept us up and helped build the platform from which we can build.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
This thread I knew very possibly would come back to haunt every Sam Allardyce hater.

JLAP tried to give Allardyce the finger well tonight Allardyce has returned the favour with a big extended fist, I just want to know Does it hurt ?.

I hated Allardyce's style and he was annoying as a character but he took us from the Championship as a side none of us were confident about at the time to the Prem. He did pretty well for two seasons and not so well for the rest but still OK, yes very happy he went but to question the man as a football manager is beyond ridiculous.
Sam does it his way his way may not be very exciting but up to a point it does work and you know who should know that best West Ham fans even ones who wanted him out after the middle of his first season in the Premiership like me.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Pleased for the Big Fat twat. Some of the stick he's received has been completely idiotic. Definitely happier now we have Bilic but he certainly received some unfair criticism and those saying his 'never been relegated' record would end this year have been proven wrong.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Big question for WHO.

Do we keep this going, or do we have a brand new one for next season?

claretandbluedagger 12:43 Thu May 12
Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Glad he's kept them up. Right move for us to get rid and bring in Bilic, right move for him and Sunderland to partner up. Worked out for the best. Good on him.

And to think. There was a fair few Newcastle fans laughing at us when we appointed Billic last summer.!

Funny that.!

Well done Allardyce, he really turned the round.

quite impressed and happy for him.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
So are those who slated Big Sam's appointment now going to stand up and admit that they were wrong and Allardyce was just the man that Sunderland needed?

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Forget Allardyce, we've all moved on, including him.

Sunderland staying up is fine by me, especially at Newcastles's expense. The barcodes spending this season:

Georginio Wijnaldum £14,500,000
Aleksandar Mitrovic £13,000,000
Chancel Mbemba £6,900,000
Ivan Toney £300,000
Florian Thauvin £12,000,000
Henri Saivet £4,500,000
Jonjo Shelvey £12,000,000
Andros Townsend £12,000,000

Total for 15/16 £75,200,000

How the fuck can you ejaculate 75 MILLION POUNDS and get relegated?

Good fucking riddance to that prick Ashley paying those wages in the fizzy pop.
